IIT Delhi-incubated start-up Trouve Motor will launch its first hyper-sports superbike in India in the second half of this year. In the latest development, the company has put out a teaser of the upcoming vehicle. The motorcycle will have an aggressive look, several tech-based features, and shall be fueled by an electric powertrain. It will hit a top-speed of 200km/h.

    Why does this story matter?

    • Trouve Motor's upcoming motorcycle will offer lots of features and incredible performance. The company also claims that it will be one of the world's safest two-wheelers.
    • On its arrival in the market, the vehicle should draw the attention of a lot of buyers. The competition in the electric two-wheeler segment will be raised to a great extent.

The motorcycle will have a touchscreen infotainment system

Trouve Motor's upcoming bike will be based on a modular platform and shall have a muscular fuel tank-like structure with extensions, a raised windscreen, and a rider-only saddle. The motorcycle will pack an AI-enabled TFT touchscreen infotainment system with support for GPS, an all-LED setup for lighting, and will ride on alloy wheels. Its kerb weight and other dimensions will be disclosed later.

It will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3 seconds

The upcoming Trouve sports bike will draw power from a 40kW liquid-cooled, AC induction motor linked to a battery pack. The bike will sprint from 0-100km/h in just three seconds and attain a top-speed of 200km/h.

    It will get dual-channel ABS

To ensure the safety of the rider, the Trouve hyper-sports superbike will be equipped with Brembo disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS and a 360-degree-view camera for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorbike might be taken care of by telescopic front forks and a mono-shock absorber on the rear.

    What about its availability?

Trouve Motor will commence bookings for its electric superbike in India in the second half of this year and deliveries are likely to begin in early-2023. Its pricing details will be disclosed around that time.
