What's the story

TVS Motor Company presented a host of rider-centric initiatives at its annual motorcycle festival, MotoSoul 5.0, in Goa. The highlights include the launch of an augmented reality (AR) helmet system and a new training academy. The company also announced a partnership with MT Helmets to bring ECE-certified helmets to India starting from ₹5,999.

Tech innovation

Aegis Rider Vision Helmet: A tech marvel

The star of the show was TVS's Aegis Rider Vision Helmet, an advanced AR-enabled heads-up display (HUD) system. The helmet uses spatial anchoring to project critical information like navigation, speed, alerts and notifications directly into the rider's line of sight. This way, it minimizes distractions while ensuring clear visibility on the road ahead.

Advanced features

Features and compatibility

The Aegis Rider Vision Helmet comes with a binocular uOLED projection system, an integrated action camera, adaptive brightness, wireless connectivity, OTA updates and a 7,000mAh battery for prolonged use. Developed in collaboration with Nexx Helmets, its carbon-fiber shell meets ECE 22.06 and CE certification standards. It also integrates seamlessly with TVS motorcycles via a dedicated companion app that lets riders customize the HUD display as per their needs.

Training initiative

TVS Racing's new off-road training academy

TVS also launched its Racing Offroad Training Academy, which aims to develop basic adventure and off-road riding skills among enthusiasts. The academy is led by TVS Racing champions and international instructors. It starts with Level 1 training covering essential skills like terrain handling, balance, obstacle riding, braking control and body positioning. This platform is designed to help amateur riders gain confidence before progressing toward more advanced off-road riding disciplines.

Strategic alliance

TVS Racing and MT Helmets partnership

The partnership between TVS Racing and MT Helmets, a global manufacturer known for its ECE-certified premium helmets, was another major announcement. The collaboration will introduce a new range of aerodynamically engineered, safety-focused helmets in India. The products will be priced starting at ₹5,999. This partnership combines TVS Racing's performance expertise with MT's advanced protection engineering to develop products tailored for Indian motorcyclists.

Community outreach

TVS's 'Ride for Change' initiative and festival activities

As part of its 'Ride for Change' initiative, TVS conducted a special helmet distribution drive for children in Vagator. A total of 100 helmets were given to students of St. Michael's Convent High School, reinforcing the brand's advocacy for road safety from a young age. The festival also featured Gymkhana challenges, dirt and flat track sessions, FMX showcases, adventure zones, stunt shows and more.
