TVS to launch a new cruiser motorcycle in 2020: Report

Taking on Bajaj Avenger and Suzuki Intruder, TVS Motor Company is gearing up to launch a new cruiser, Zeppelin, in India early next year.
The home-grown automaker will reportedly launch the production-ready model of the Zeppelin, which was first showcased as a concept last year at the Auto Expo.

The TVS Zeppelin will offer a naked street design with a two-tone color scheme, comfortable riding position, handlebar-mounted mirrors, and golden-colored front forks.
The motorcycle will house a hexagonal shaped headlamp, spoked wheels, and company's emblem on the fuel tank.
Apart from that, it will also get an all-LED lighting setup for headlamp, turn indicators, and taillights.

The production-ready model of the Zeppelin is likely to be powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The mill is capable of producing 20bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 18.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.

Here's a look at the safety and suspension setup

On the safety front, the TVS Zeppelin will come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for improved road handling.
To handle the suspension duties, the motorcycle will house 41mm conventional telescopic forks up front and a monoshock unit on the rear.

And, how much will it cost?

At present, there is no official word on the pricing of Zeppelin in India. However, according to the report, it will cost somewhere around Rs. 1.25-1.30 lakh. Once launched, it will lock horns with rivals such as Suzuki Intruder and Bajaj Avenger.
