Yamaha R3 gets a retro-cool makeover for 70th anniversary
Auto
Yamaha just dropped the 2026 R3 with a fresh livery to celebrate its 70th birthday.
The new design throws it back to the brand's 1990s Supersport days, rocking a clean white base and bold red accents inspired by classics like the 1999 R7.
It's Yamaha's way of honoring their racing roots while giving fans something special.
Same engine, eye-catching style—just not for India
Underneath, the anniversary R3 keeps its trusted 321cc parallel-twin engine and diamond frame, but stands out with red 3D-style graphics and sharp black highlights.
If you're in India though, this edition won't be hitting showrooms—Yamaha says limited demand and price are why it's skipping the market.
The regular R3 is still available at ₹3.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
