  • Flight operations were suspended for more than half an hour when four runway lights were damaged by a SpiceJet aircraft, while landing at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.

    The SpiceJet flight was coming from Hyderabad on Friday evening, which while taxiing after landing damaged some lights.

    The runway was closed for almost 45 minutes and at least 10 flights were diverted.

  • "During landing roll, the Q400 aircraft veered off to the left and was aligned to the central line by the pilot. It taxied normally to the bay," a SpiceJet spokesperson said.

    There are no reports of injury or damage.

    The runway was closed from 10:47 PM to 11:28 PM, during which eight flights were diverted to Chennai and one each to Tiruchirapalli and Coimbatore.
