  • IT major Infosys' philanthropic arm, Infosys Foundation will soon add a station to the Bengaluru metro network, as per an agreement between the company and BMRCL.

The station to be built at Konappana Agrahara near Electronic City will cost the company Rs. 200cr.

It will reportedly maintain it for 30 years. To be built in two phases, the station would be ready by 2021.

  • To be named Infosys Foundation-Konappana Agrahara Metro Station, it'll be spread across 2L square-feet.

Out of that, 3,000 square-feet will be dedicated to Infosys Foundation, where local craftsmen and artisans would host exhibitions and showcase their artwork, for free.

The station roof will support solar-panels, making it a sustainable building.

Also, a bridge would be built linking the station directly to the Infosys campus.
