What's the story

Axis Mutual Fund has launched a first-of-its-kind Micro-Investment feature, aimed at simplifying mutual fund investments for first-time investors. The innovative tool allows individuals to start investing in eligible schemes with as little as ₹100 per scheme. The move is part of Axis Mutual Fund's effort to make financial literacy more practical, by providing hands-on experience with risk, expected returns and diversification.

Feature details

Micro-Investment feature: A step toward financial literacy

The Micro-Investment feature will be available on a monthly basis, exclusively for Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) investments and only for eligible schemes. First-time investors can activate this feature in just three clicks on the Axis Mutual Fund website. The idea is to let them explore multiple schemes, diversify their portfolio, and learn the basics of investing at their own pace.

Investor empowerment

Micro-Investment: A tool for building investment confidence

The fund house has designed the Micro-Investment feature on three key pillars - Accessible, Educational, and Empowering. The 'Accessible' aspect means starting with small amounts to remove the fear of large losses. The 'Educational' part lets investors learn by doing, while the 'Empowering' facet gradually builds confidence and encourages scaling up when ready.
