City Union Bank's net profit jumps 15% in Q2

City Union Bank just dropped its Q2 results, showing a solid 15% jump in net profit—₹329 crore this quarter, compared to ₹285 crore last year.
The bank also pulled in more total income, hitting ₹1,912 crore versus ₹1,660 crore a year ago.
Interest income, operating profit up
Interest income climbed to ₹1,653 crore and operating profit rose to ₹471 crore—both up from last year.
Plus, the bank cleaned up its books: bad loans (NPAs) dropped sharply from 3.54% to 2.42%, and provisions for risky loans went down too.
All in all, it's been a strong quarter for City Union Bank on nearly every front.
