Cohesity bets big on India with $1B investment and new Bengaluru hub

Business

Cohesity, the data security firm backed by NVIDIA and SoftBank, is investing $1 billion in India over the next five years.
They've just opened a much larger office in Bengaluru, doubling down on India's role as they ramp up their AI-powered security tools.

Why does this matter?

Cohesity's team in India has tripled to 2,200 after buying Veritas's data protection business last year.
India is among the top 10 markets for Cohesity.
With new engineering centers in Bengaluru and Pune, they're aiming for faster product development and closer work with local clients—think banks, telecoms, and IT giants like Infosys.

The bigger picture

Globally, Cohesity has $1.6 billion in annual recurring revenue, serving over 13,000 customers (including 70% of the Global 500 companies).
While the US still brings in most of their money now, markets like India are catching up fast—making this expansion one to watch.
