Eco-friendly luggage brand Uppercase sees 34% revenue growth in FY25

Business

Uppercase, known for its eco-friendly travel gear, grew its revenue by 34% to ₹83 crore in FY25—but losses still doubled to ₹35 crore.
Even with strong sales of trolleys and backpacks, rising costs outpaced gains, leaving the company in a tougher spot financially.

Material costs jumped 36%

Material costs jumped 36%, marketing spend climbed 44%, and other expenses like salaries and shipping also soared.
Altogether, total costs rose 45% to ₹120 crore.
With expenses growing much faster than income, Uppercase's profit margins shrank further, highlighting how tough it is for new brands to scale up sustainably in India's crowded luggage market.
