FIIs turn net buyers in India for 1st time since

Business

For the first time in a while, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) became net buyers in India, pumping in ₹1,751 crore between October 6-10, 2025.
This is a big turnaround after months of steady outflows, attributed to factors such as global uncertainty, Trump's tariffs, and high valuations of Indian companies.
The numbers come straight from NSDL.

Ajit Mishra on FII activity

Ajit Mishra from Religare Broking pointed out how FIIs sold over ₹3,000 crore at the start of the week, but quickly switched gears and invested nearly ₹4,800 crore by week's end—ending with a net positive.
Still, 2025 overall has seen huge withdrawals (₹1.56 lakh crore), with only April, May, and June seeing net buying.
Whether this new momentum sticks depends on global stability and how well companies perform in the coming months.
