Gold, silver prices in India plummet: Check rates here
Business
Silver prices took a sharp dip in New Delhi on Friday, falling 4% (₹11,000) to ₹265,500 per kilogram.
Gold wasn't spared either: it dropped by 1.2%, landing at ₹163,200 per 10gm.
The main reasons? A stronger US dollar and lots of uncertainty around global monetary policies.
How have precious metals fared globally?
On the world stage, silver slipped nearly 1% to $83.10 an ounce.
Gold actually ticked up a bit to $5,088 an ounce but still ended the week down by about 2%.
These ups and downs are mostly thanks to economic pressures and that ever-powerful US dollar shaking things up in precious metals markets everywhere.
