Missed the Paytm KYC deadline? Here's how to do it
Yesterday was the deadline to update the Know Your Customer (KYC) details on Paytm and other mobile wallets. If you haven't done it yet, you will not be able to add money to your wallet or send money to others till KYC is complete. But fret not: you can still update your details on Paytm and other wallets. Here's how.
Follow these steps to update KYC details on Paytm
On Paytm, the KYC option is available at the top of the app's home page. You can use Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving license or NREGA job card for KYC. Enter details of the relevant document. Enter the OTP received on your mobile. For completing the process, enter additional details like parents' names, marital status and PAN.
Here's how to complete the verification process
For final verification, you can link your UPI-enabled bank account with BHIM UPI on Paytm. For this, the mobile number registered with your bank account and Paytm account has to be the same. You can also choose to have the verification done in person.
Till then, you can use these apps as alternatives
Till you complete the KYC process, you won't be able to carry out basic functions like adding money to your account or sending money to others. But your balance will remain unaffected. The process is similar for other mobile wallets too. Till you complete KYC, you can use UPI-based apps like PhonePe, Google Tez and BHIM UPI for such transactions.
