    What's the story

What is your idea of a dream job? A fancy workplace with high pay, maybe even a chilled out environment?

Well, what if we tell about something better on offer, say, like a start-up that would pay you as much as Rs. 1 lakh for just sleeping at work.

Yeah, that would basically be your job.

    Here's all about it.

    Job

Wakefit.co paying Rs. 1 lakh for sleeping on the job

Wakefit.co, a Bengaluru-based sleep solutions start-up, has announced a program called 'Wakefit Sleep Internship'.

As part of this 'job', the shortlisted applicants would have to sleep nine hours daily for a period of 100 days.

Once the period is completed, they will be given a sum of Rs. 1 lakh as a reward for their 'sleep contribution'.

    No caveats

You don't even have to leave your current workplace

Normally, lucrative offers like these have some hidden caveats, like you have to stay completely in bed.

But, this one solely requires you to sleep as sound and deep as possible for nine hours every night, which, we think, is something many of you already do.

Plus, as this is a night job, you don't have to leave your current workplace either.

    Solutions

Wakefit will provide mattress for comfortable sleep

Once the candidates are selected, they'd just have to sleep on the mattress provided by Wakefit, while the company will monitor how well they will sleep on it.

To note, the start-up will also provide free counseling sessions to the interns and give a sleep tracker which would help with monitoring/assessing your sleep quality before and after using the mattress.

    Quote

Goal to bring focus back on sleep health

"We are looking to recruit best sleepers in country who are willing to go to any lengths to make sleep a priority," Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda said. "The initiative aims to bring back the focus on sleep health by applauding people who obsess about sleeping."

    Application process

How can you apply for the sleep job?

To bag the sleep internship, just fill a form on this page (www.wakefit.co/sleepintern/) and explain your love for sleep and why this is the right job for you.

"A fanatical passion for sleep and an innate ability to fall asleep at the slightest given opportunity," the company describes the skills required for the job. "An unmatched zeal for breaking your own sleep records."

    Information

After shortlisting, you will have to send a video testimonial

If your primary application gets shortlisted, you would have to send a video testimonial expressing your love for sleep once again. Post this, your testimony would be reviewed and the selectors will decide whether or not to pick you.
