IndiGo launches daily direct flights from Delhi to Guangzhou
IndiGo just kicked off daily direct flights from Delhi to Guangzhou, China, starting November 10.
This makes Delhi only the second Indian city (after Kolkata) with non-stop service to Guangzhou, using their A320 neo planes.
The new route marks a big step in reconnecting the two countries after flights were put on hold back in early 2020 due to COVID and border tensions.
Reopening of travel routes
These new flights are part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to restore travel links that had been frozen for years.
Kolkata-Guangzhou flights also returned in October, and now China Eastern Airlines has brought back its direct Delhi-Shanghai route too.
With these changes, IndiGo now flies from Delhi to 21 international destinations—facilitating travel between India and China once again.
