Jio adds 39L subscribers in October; market share rises to 43.5%

India's telecom scene just got a big boost—active users hit 1,094 million in October 2025.
Jio led the charge by adding 3.9 million new subscribers, bumping its total to 476 million and raising its market share to 43.5%.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea: How they're doing

Airtel also saw gains, picking up 2.8 million new users and reaching a market share of 35.8%.
Vodafone Idea, though, lost about 0.4 million subscribers and dropped to a 15.6% share.
Overall, the sector is thriving this year as more people get online and data usage keeps climbing.
