JioHotstar clocks 450M+ monthly active users

Reliance Jio's streaming platform, JioHotstar, has achieved a major milestone with 451 million monthly active users (MAUs) in FY26. The announcement was made by Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), at Reliance Industries Limited's 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM). He highlighted that "Jio Hotstar has reached a scale that is amongst the largest in the world and the largest in India."

Ambani also revealed that JioHotstar has launched a unique content commerce model. This innovative feature creates a marketplace within the entertainment platform, enabling users to shop while enjoying their favorite shows. He emphasized that "Our live streaming capabilities continue to set global benchmarks," highlighting the platform's commitment to providing an unparalleled viewing experience for its users.

Nine out of 10 highest global concurrency records
During the recent T20 World Cup, JioHotstar set a world record with 72.5 million concurrent viewers in India. Ambani noted that "Today, nine of the 10 highest global concurrency records belong to JioHotstar." He further stressed the platform's unmatched reach by revealing that IPL 2026 attracted over 700 million viewers on their platform alone.
