Lamborghini Huracan Evo launches at Rs. 3.73 crore: Details here

Lamborghini has launched an upgraded avatar of Huracan, the Huracan Evo, with more power and some pretty spectacular design changes. First unveiled in Bahrain, the new Lambo builds on the prowess and performance of its predecessor and focuses on the element of aerodynamics. It has been priced at Rs. 3.73 crore in the Indian market. Here are the details.

Design
Lamborghini's sporty feel with improved aerodynamics

Lamborghini Evo looks similar to the original one but incorporates some notable, and visually appealing, changes. The front of the supercar has been reworked, with its nose being much sharper and bumper hosting larger trapezoidal air intakes and a wider air-dam. Meanwhile, the rear includes a bigger diffuser with two round exhaust ports and a sharper lip spoiler aimed at improving downforce drag.

Other design changes
Sides and interior remain pretty much unchanged

The front and back of new Huracan have been upgraded, but the sides and interior still remain pretty much unchanged. The cabin layout is similar to the regular Huracan, but now, you get a bigger 8.4-inch infotainment system with telemetry mapping and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, there are new alloy wheels with Y-shaped spokes and a bigger rear air vent.

Powertrain
Mind-blowing power under the hood

Under the hood, the new Lamborghini features a 5.2-liter V10 engine, which is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission; it can make 640PS of power and 600Nm of peak torque. This makes the new Lambo slightly more powerful than the standard Huracan, allowing it to do 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed of the supercar is a whopping 325km/hr.

Information
Added features for agility and responsive handling

To bundle Evo's power with immaculate handling, stability, and agility, Lamborghini has added a number of advanced systems, including those of sensor-based chassis, traction control, and torque vectoring (for stability).

Pricing
Pricing and availability of Lamborghini Evo

Lamborghini Evo has been priced at Rs. 3.73 crore (ex-showroom Delhi) in the Indian market. However, just like Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the new model isn't expected to drive major sales; it sits in the premium segment and will have select takers. Still, the fact it launched a month after international unveiling shows Lamborghini sees India as a crucial target market for its supercars.
