Reliance Jio extends Rs. 699 JioPhone Diwali offer till November

Reliance's JioPhone Diwali offer, which was announced last month around the festive time, has been extended till November-end. Under the offer, the telco is offering its popular 4G feature phone at a special price of Rs. 699. Additionally, Reliance also provides special bundle plans when you choose to gift the JioPhone to your friends or family. Here's all about it.

The official word from Reliance Jio

In a statement, Reliance Jio said it witnessed a "record demand" for its JioPhone during the past three weeks and has decided to extend the offer till November. "The feature phone users who were not able to join the Jio movement during the JioPhone Diwali offer, now get another month to avail the benefits of the festive offer and migrate to Jio Digital Life."

Here's how you can avail the JioPhone Diwali offer

To gift someone a JioPhone, simply go to Reliance Jio's offer page and click on the Gift Now option. You'll be redirected to a new page wherein you have to provide your phone number followed by the person's mobile number you're gifting it to. Next, you'll be prompted to choose the bundle plan with the JioPhone and pay online to receive the gift voucher.

Bundled plans start at Rs. 808

As part of the JioPhone Diwali offer, you can choose from four bundled packs. The basic bundle, priced at Rs. 808, includes the JioPhone and 1-month of recharge. Similarly, the Rs. 1,006 and Rs. 1,501 plans offer 3-months and 8-months of recharge along with the handset, respectively. Lastly, the top-end Rs. 1,996 bundle comes with 13-months of recharge as well as the JioPhone.

All plans also come with Rs. 10 IUC top-up

All the bundles plans also include Rs. 10 IUC top-up which will give you talk time worth Rs. 7.47 for making calls to non-Jio numbers. Notably, the gift vouchers your friends/family receive can be redeemed at any Reliance Jio store in India.

    Meanwhile, here's recalling the JioPhone

The JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera for video calling. The handset is powered by a dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage (expandable upto 128GB). Further, it runs KaiOS, packs a 2,000mAh battery, and supports 4G/3G/2G networks, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, FM Radio, as well as GPS.
