Who were the biggest winners and losers on Thursday?
Among the top sector gainers in the stock market were NIFTY PSE, NIFTY AUTO and NIFTY METAL, gaining 2.24%, 1.12% and 1.12%, respectively. The biggest stock gainers were BPCL, Power Grid Corp and Asian Paints, which climbed 4.56%, 3.74% and 3.27%, respectively. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Consumer Products and Bharti Airtel emerged the biggest losers, dropping 2.93%, 1.55% and 1.49%, respectively.

On Thursday, the Indian rupee (INR) edged 0.01% lower to ₹83.46 versus the US dollar in the forex trade. The gold futures witnessed little movement, ending flat at ₹70,641, while the silver futures tumbled 0.45% to ₹79,511. Coming to the crude oil futures, the prices soared 0.53% to settle at $79.76 per barrel.
