On Friday, major indices of the stock market ended flat with the Sensex settling at 55,769.23 points and the Nifty closing at 16,584.3 points. NIFTY IT emerged as the top gaining sector of the market on Friday, edging up by 0.37%. The top gaining stocks were Reliance, Infosys, and Larsen, adding 2%, 0.96%, and 0.8%, respectively. Meanwhile, the biggest stock losers were Grasim, UltraTech Cement, and Shree Cements, which plunged 6.53%, 5.5%, and 4.52%, respectively.

The Indian rupee (INR) depreciated by 0.02% to end at Rs. 77.62 against the US Dollar in the forex trade on Friday. The gold futures witnessed little movement, settling flat at Rs. 51,273, while the silver futures jumped 0.42% to Rs. 62,598. Also, the crude oil futures fell by $0.45, or 0.39% to $116.08/barrel.

The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Friday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26 per/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.
