Sony Innovation Fund backs Stan's $10.5 million Series A round
Stan, a mobile-first social gaming platform from India, just raised $10.5 million in Series A funding.
The final boost came from Sony Innovation Fund and Hyderabad Angels, joining big names like Google's AI Futures Fund and Bandai Namco.

Launched in 2022, Stan connects gamers, creators, and publishers—think building gaming communities, earning through subscriptions or shoutouts, and hanging out in live audio clubs.
With this new funding, they're planning smarter AI features and more ways for creators to earn, plus expanding beyond India's smaller cities.
By the numbers
Stan has racked up over 30 million downloads and hosts more than 1 million creators.
Nearly 100 game publishers have joined recently (about 20 every month).
Revenue jumped from $1.7 million in the fiscal year ended March 2024 to $7.9 million in the fiscal year ended March 2025—and they're looking to grow across Asia and Latin America.
