Suzlon to invest ₹10,000cr in Govindawada 1,325MW wind project
Suzlon is dropping a massive ₹10,000 crore investment into new wind power projects in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
The plan? Build 1,325 MW of renewable energy at Govindawada and create about 4,000 jobs.
With this boost, Suzlon hopes to develop an additional 5,000 MW of renewable energy projects by 2030 (pretty big for clean energy fans).
Suzlon training centers to train 12,000
Suzlon already has a strong presence in Andhra Pradesh with over 1,700 MW installed. Its Anantapur blade plant accounts for about 40% of Suzlon's blade production and has generated employment for around 2,200 young people in the district.
Now they are teaming up with the state government for a green skill initiative: training centers in Vijayawada and Uravakonda aim to train 12,000 young professionals with women accounting for 25% of the trainees.
Plus, Minister Nara Lokesh is set to launch new production lines on August 25, 2026.
