Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata top cities for indulgence
Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer of Swiggy's Food Marketplace, revealed that Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata were the top cities for indulgence. He also noted that new hubs like Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vadodara joined in with equal enthusiasm. Choco lava cakes topped dessert orders across metros, while Kolkata's long-standing love for biryani remained intact during this festive season.

Magicpin's Anshoo Sharma also noted a 40% increase in vegetarian and thali orders around Navratri. After Dussehra, there was a strong comeback of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines as consumers returned to their regular dining preferences. The platform also witnessed a 2.5x spike in bulk and party food delivery orders after Navratri celebrations ended.
