Tata Capital IPO opens tomorrow: Should you subscribe?

Business

Tata Capital is set to make its stock market debut with a ₹15,511.87 crore IPO on October 13, 2025.
The offer was subscribed nearly twice overall, with strong interest from big investors.
But the gray market premium faded to zero by the end, hinting that shares will likely list close to their issue price of ₹310-₹326 each.

Third-largest NBFC in India

Part of Tata Sons, Tata Capital is India's third-largest NBFC (non-banking financial company).
It lends to everyone from regular folks and small businesses to big corporates, plus offers wealth management and investment banking services.
As of June 2025, it managed assets worth ₹2.52 lakh crore and kept bad loans low at just 2.1%.

Funds to support onward lending, business growth

The IPO includes both new shares and an offer-for-sale by existing shareholders.
Funds raised will boost Tata Capital's core capital and support onward lending and business growth, as outlined in the IPO documents—basically fueling their next phase of growth.
