Apple is building products that will blow you away: Cook

Soon, you may get some amazing products from the house of Apple. Tim Cook, the CEO of the company, has expressed optimism towards the company's services and hardware business, according to a report in Bloomberg. He spoke at Apple's annual general meeting, claiming that the Cupertino giant is 'rolling the dice' on products that will 'blow you away'. Here are the details.

Apple on track to double services revenue

Speaking to investors, Cook said he's 'never been more optimistic' about Apple growth. He said the company's services business, which includes products like Apple Pay, App Store, and Apple Music, remains on track to hit the $50 billion revenue mark by 2020. Notably, services have proven profitable for Apple and are expected to grow further with its rumored Netflix competitor and news subscription service.

Plus, you may see mind-blowing hardware products

Services will open new avenues for Apple, but that doesn't mean it's giving up on the hardware front, quite obviously. Cook claimed the company is 'planting seeds' on products that will 'blow you away', which seems to suggest the company may have some surprises in store. To recall, reports have already suggested that Apple is actively working on a pair of Augmented Reality glasses.

Focus on Watch, AirPods, and other hardware

As the sale of iPhones has slowed down, Apple is doubling down on its other hardware, including the Apple Watch. Cook claimed that Apple has got a "long, great roadmap of fantastic" products related to the Watch and AirPods. He even indicated that Apple Watch may get more features related to health and the company will switch to its own processors for MacBook.

Also, MacBook Air to get cheaper

Among other things, Cook also said that the company plans to reduce the price of the $1,200 MacBook Air as part of the efforts to boost hardware sales. However, he didn't delve into the details of the new price.
