The second cut-off lists for admissions in undergraduate courses for Delhi University were released yesterday evening. A marginal drop (less than 1%) was recorded in the cut-off marks for several courses in these lists. Also, most of the North Campus colleges did not release the second list for general category in various courses. Admission process through this recently-released list will end on July 6.

Less than 1% cut-off dip recorded in Kirori Mal College

In the second list, the cut-off marks for B.A. Economics (Honors) in Kirori Mal College for the general category has come down to 98% from 98.25%. Moreover, the cut-off marks for B.A. English (Honors) also saw a marginal dip, as it came down to 96.5% from 97%. The college recorded similar trends for B.Com (Honors) [Cut-off: 97.75%] and B.A Hindi (Honors) [Cut-off: 88.5%].

LSR closes all courses for general category except English (Honors)

Likewise, Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) saw a minimal dip in the second list's cut-off marks for B.A. English (Honors), which came down from 97.75% to 97.5%. Apart from English (Honors), admissions in all other courses are closed for general category students.

Hindu College: All courses closed for admission except Economics, B.Com(Hons)

Hindu College has also closed admissions in all the courses for general category except Economics (Honors) and B.Com (Honors). The cut-offs for both the courses however did not record any major dip: B.A. Economics (Honors) cut-off dipped from 98.50% to 98.25%, B.Com (Honors) cut-off reduced to 97.75% from 98.25%. This year, colleges also noticed a surprising trend: For various Arts courses, there was over-admittance.

"Cannot expect cut-off to fall down much"

After the first-list got released, more than 23,000 students were admitted and it is one of the major reasons for this slight drop in cut-off marks for the second list. However Rajeev Gupta, head of Admission Committee, said that subsequent lists will also register marginal dips. "Only a marginal drop can be expected, especially in the most sought-after courses," he informed.

Here is the list of documents one needs to carry

Meanwhile, all the selected applicants have to visit the respective colleges for admissions and document verification by July 6 along with the following documents (original and photocopy): 1- Print-out of form from the admission portal. 2- Class X certificate. 3- Class XII mark sheet. 4- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW/KM Certificate. 5- Three passport size photographs. The next cut-off is expected on July 9 for the remaining seats.
