Lahore 1947—a Partition-era drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan—is finishing its final schedule in Punjab.
Inspired by Asghar Wajahat's play, the film follows a Muslim family moving to Lahore during Partition and unexpectedly finding a Hindu family still living in their home.
The cast features Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.

The film was originally planned for January 2025 but has been pushed to 2026 so the team can polish it further—Aamir Khan, known for his perfectionism, wanted to ensure the film met his high standards.
