Shanaya Kapoor-Abhay Verma's rom-com to begin filming next week

Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor will start the shooting of her next film in Goa next week, reported Mid-Day. The film, an untitled rom-com, also stars Munjya and The Family Man actor Abhay Verma. Kapoor recently wrapped her debut Hindi film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, opposite Vikrant Massey.

Shujaat Saudagar, known for directing Bambai Meri Jaan (2023), is at the helm of this rom-com. An insider revealed, "Shanaya flew down to Goa on Friday. The unit will film in the beach state over the next one month." "An unconventional theme is at the center of the rom-com and Shujaat wanted Shanaya and Abhay to be part of workshops before facing the camera." The leads underwent a three-month workshop to prepare for their roles.

Kapoor's upcoming projects and social media updates
This project is Kapoor's third venture after the upcoming Telugu-Malayalam film Vrushabha and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. In the latter, she plays a theater actor opposite Massey, who plays a blind musician. Kapoor recently posted behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan in Azerbaijan on Instagram. The actor had previously served as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
