Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya booked for abusing a woman

Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a known name in Bollywood. He gave voice to most of Shah Rukh Khan's songs in the 90s. However, he has a disturbing knack of getting into trouble. Most recently an FIR was lodged against him for abusing a woman on phone. The Amoli police station in Mumbai lodged the complaint under Sections 506 and 509 of the IPC.

    Frayed tempers and mishandling situations

Abhijeet has been accused of being intimidating over the phone and outraging the modesty of a woman. The entire argument was over drilling in a complex where the woman and Abhijeet disagreed. The singer, however, denied accusations of abuse and said that the woman was extorting money and had an illegal extension in her apartment. That's no reason for abusing someone though!

The police lodged the complaint on these grounds

The police said, "The woman had an argument with the singer over some drilling work being done in the society. She claims that she was abused by him. We have registered a case and will be investigating the case further".

    Please learn some manners, Sir

While this case is being investigated, Abhijeet has a history of abusing women. He landed in trouble for allegedly abusing a female journalist. In 2015, the Oshiwara police booked him for allegedly abusing a woman. Even AAP leader Preeti Kumar Menon complained against him for allegedly abusing a female journalist on Twitter. This shows a disturbing pattern, about time Abhijeet changes himself.
