Anurag Basu to re-shoot portions of 'Metro...In Dino'
What's the story
The much-awaited romantic musical Metro...In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, is running behind schedule. The film, which was announced back in 2023, has targeted multiple release dates but is yet to see the light of the day. It stars Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Anupam Kher, among others, and is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit Life in a Metro.
Reshoot decision
Basu's dissatisfaction with 'Metro... In Dino'
Per Mid-day, Basu has decided to reshoot some scenes after he expressed concerns over the final cut. A source close to the production told the portal, "Anurag wasn't completely satisfied with how some scenes shaped up, especially given the emotional complexity that is crucial to each of the intertwined stories of the film."
Schedule adjustment
Kartik Aaryan-Basu's film also delayed
In light of this delay, Basu's upcoming film, starring Kartik Aaryan, has also been postponed. Resultantly, Aaryan has decided to make the most of this time by starting the shoot for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, reported Mid-day. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and shooting is expected to begin in early December.
