Anurag Kashyap on Epstein documents mention: 'I have no connection'
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has responded after his name appeared in US Department of Justice documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, saying the mention was inconsequential and that the reference did not concern him.
The list includes about 300 people from politics, business, and culture, but Kashyap says he has no connection to the controversy.
Raid on Phantom Films in 2021
Kashyap also addressed past media attention, including a 2021 income tax raid linked to his old company Phantom Films.
He explained that Phantom Films dissolved due to creative differences back in 2018, and clarified that any investigation was about valuation issues, not anything related to Epstein.
Despite being pulled into headlines as a "Bollywood guy" mentioned in the documents, Kashyap insists there's nothing more to it and wants to clear up any misunderstandings.
