Ayushmann Khurrana's Andhadhun celebrated its seventh anniversary in October. In an interview with Zoom, Khurrana has now revealed that he has spoken to director Sriram Raghavan about the potential sequel. "I recently spoke to Sriram Raghavan sir to congratulate him on the trailer of Ikkis," Khurrana said.

The original Andhadhun was a box office and critical hit with Khurrana playing a piano player pretending to be visually impaired who gets embroiled in a murder mystery.

Meanwhile, Khurrana's latest film Thamma has become his fifth entry into the ₹100cr club. The film, produced by Maddock Films and set in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe, also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, and Geeta Aggarwal. In Thamma, Khurrana plays Alok Goyal, a Delhi-based journalist who turns into a betaal. The film ends on a cliffhanger, leaving room for a sequel.
