BJP supports Diljit amid 'Sardaar Ji 3' controversy
BJP has stepped up for Diljit Dosanjh after a film workers' group (FWICE) demanded his citizenship be revoked because he's starring in Sardaar Ji 3 alongside Pakistani actor Hania Aamir.
BJP spokesperson Sardar R.P. Singh called the demand "shockingly disproportionate," describing Diljit as a "national asset and a global ambassador of Indian culture."

Singh labeled the move "irrational," noting that casting happened before recent tensions, and pointed out how India still plays cricket with Pakistan and features Pakistani guests on TV without similar outrage.
He urged FWICE not to "weaponize patriotism," saying these actions actually hurt India's image.
