Box office collection: Dhanush's 'Idli Kadai' nears ₹50 crore
Dhanush's new film, Idli Kadai, is on the verge of crossing ₹47 crore at the Indian box office—pretty impressive for just 11 days in!
The movie follows Murugan (played by Dhanush), a chef who heads back home from Bangkok to revive his family's idli shop.
Despite releasing alongside Kantara: Chapter 1, Idli Kadai has held strong, bringing in ₹1.5 crore on its second Saturday and racking up ₹44.25 crore in its first week.
Film's Tamil version dominates collections
So far, Idli Kadai has collected ₹46.60 crore—most of it from the Tamil version—with steady audience turnout (almost 59% occupancy at night shows on October 11).
The film's relatable story and star-studded cast—including Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, Shalini Pandey, and Rajkiran—are clearly winning hearts and keeping the momentum going.
