It's Kangana v/s Hrithik again, but at the box office

It's Kangana v/s Hrithik again, but at the box office

Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan, who don't see eye-to-eye anymore, will soon find themselves facing each other. This time it's not for another one of their infamous battles, but because of the shifting of release date of Kangana's upcoming film Mental Hai Kya. Kangana's film will now release on July 26 and not June 21, which means it will clash with Hrithik's Super 30.

'Mental Hai Kya' was earlier scheduled to release in March

An Ekta Kapoor production, Mental Hai Kya, starring Rajkummar Rao along with Kangana, was scheduled to release in March, but was postponed to June 21 due to some incomplete patch-work. Although the reason behind the recent extension is unknown, it is set to bring the alleged couple, Kangana and Hrithik, face to face. Notably, Hrithik's Super 30 has also seen several delays in release.

Hrithik's 'Super 30' can see another delay, as per reports

Based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, Super 30 was scheduled to hit the big screen in November last year. The makers of the film later shifted the release date to January, and then decided to release it on July 26. According to reports, the Hrithik-starrer could see a further delay and may hit the screens in August. However, there is no confirmation.

'Kabir Singh' to benefit from delay, will enjoy solo release

Everyone now hopes that the two films don't get delayed any further, as that might fizzle out the excitement around them. Interestingly, Mental Hai Kya's shift might prove to be a good sign for Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh, as it'll now have a solo release.

Last hit by Hrithik was 'Krrish 3' in 2013

Recently, Mental Hai Kya was mired with controversies for insensitive posters, glorifying self-harm, and has been labelled derogatory for people with mental illness. In response, Kangana's manager and sister Rangoli Chandel claimed the film will make everyone proud. Meanwhile, Super 30 will be crucial for Hrithik, as he has not seen any box office hit since Krrish 3, which got released in 2013.
