Captain Marvel can time travel, confirms Samuel L. JacksonLast updated on Jan 12, 2019, 12:20 am
Captain Marvel is coming on March 8, 2019, and will introduce the character to the MCU.
Touted to be MCU's strongest superhero, we fully expect Carol Danvers or Captain Marvel to play a major role in helping the Avengers take down Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
Recently, Samuel L. Jackson revealed that Captain Marvel can time travel and might save the Avengers.
'She's one of the few people that can time travel'
Jackson plays the secretive director of SHIELD Nick Fury in the Marvel movies, however the veteran actor was anything but secretive when talking about Captain Marvel.
He spoke about how Brie Larson would have to portray such a powerful character on screen.
"We'll find out how powerful she's. She's one of the few people in Marvel universe that can time travel, so," he said.
Avengers need someone as powerful as Thanos, Jackson says
Jackson said, "She's pretty much the strongest character. I mean, [the Avengers] are up against some really, really tough odds right now... we saw throughout Infinity War...so now we need something that's as powerful as Thanos...we'll find out all the things that she's capable of."
Not Ant-Man, but Captain Marvel could be Avengers' true savior
It has been theorized the surviving heroes will time travel to bring back the heroes who fell to Thanos' finger snap.
Together, they will team up to defeat the Mad Titan.
Earlier it was surmised that Ant-Man would use the Quantum Realm to bring back the heroes.
However, now, Jackson has suggested that Captain Marvel, with time traveling powers, could be the true savior.
Jackson also opens about pressures of acting in the MCU
Apart from revealing the important information, Jackson also spoke about his acting experience with Larson, which also includes Kong: Skull Island.
He admitted how fun it was working together.
Jackson then described how Larson too found it comforting to be around him since he had been part of the MCU for a while and understood pressures and expectations of acting in Marvel movies.
