Chiranjeevi wins court battle against online impersonation
Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi just scored a big win in court—no one can use his name, image, voice, or famous titles like "Mega Star" or "Chiru" for commercial gain without permission.
The Hyderabad City Civil Court's order comes after he filed a plea citing people misusing his persona on social media, merchandise, and even AI-driven platforms.
Chiranjeevi's plea highlights dangers of AI misuse
Chiranjeevi met with Hyderabad's Police Commissioner earlier this month to talk about cracking down on this kind of misuse.
With AI making it easier than ever to fake celebrity content, the court stressed that unauthorized use has caused him "severe and irreparable harm" to both his reputation and finances.
Anyone caught breaking the rules now faces serious legal trouble.
The next hearing is set for October 27.
