Cricketer Sreesanth's Bollywood innings; to star in Aksar 2

Cricketer S Sreesanth is gearing up for his innings in acting and is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Aksar 2! He will be seen alongside Abhinav Shukla, Zarine Khan, and Gautam Rode in the film. The cricketer who was in the middle of a match-fixing scandal said he is very excited about Aksar 2. Know more about the cricketer-actor's plans!

Not new to the entertainment industry

Before venturing into Bollywood, Sreesanth had acted in a 2017 Malayalam flick "Team 5". He was also a part of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" dance reality show in 2014. He also acted in a movie produced by Pooja Bhatt titled "Cabaret" expected to release this year. Sreesanth said he would continue working in films if he gets good scripts.

    Aksar 2 director praises Sreesanth

Praising the cricketer, director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan said: "I always wanted to be a cricketer and we are fortunate to be having Sreesanth for this film. He will be a surprise. We all are lucky to have him for the film."

    Sreesanth on his match-fixing scandal

Sreesanth got a massive relief when the Kerala HC, on 7 August, lifted the lifetime ban imposed by the BCCI. The Indian pacer said he has no regrets, adding BCCI would know better about the match fixing saga. He added, "I am excited about Aksar 2, and I am looking forward to see how people react to Sreesanth the actor and not the cricketer."
