Speaking at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival recently, he revealed that he had suffered a stroke and also underwent heart surgery. This revelation comes after speculation surrounding The New World Tour's abrupt halt last September.

Glover described a worrying incident during his tour that required immediate medical attention. He said, "I was doing this world tour. I was having lots of fun, really loving seeing you guys out there." However, he soon noticed something was off with his health while performing: "I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn't see well..."

Glover's diagnosis and subsequent surgeries
After experiencing vision problems, Glover sought medical help in Houston, where he was diagnosed with a stroke. He said, "The first thing I thought was like, 'Oh, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx.' That's really like the second thing. The first thing was like, 'I'm letting everybody down.' I know it's not true." He also had a broken foot and a hole in his heart, which required additional surgery.

Reflecting on his health journey, Glover said, "So, I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery. They say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one." "You got one life, guys. And I've gotta be honest, the life I've lived with you guys has been such a blessing. I love seeing and performing for you guys."

Glover's return to acting and music
After postponing the remaining dates of his world tour, Glover canceled them in October 2024, noting he had a "surgery scheduled and need(ed) time out to heal." But he didn't mention what his ailment was. Now that Glover is back in performing shape, he will reprise his role as Troy Barnes in the upcoming Community movie. He is also working on a Lando project within the Star Wars franchise.
