Film body plans ban on Diljit Dosanjh for casting Pakistani actor
Diljit Dosanjh's new film "Sardaar Ji 3" won't be hitting Indian theaters. The ban comes from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) because the movie features Pakistani actor Hania Aamir.
This move follows a recent rise in tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, leading to a wider ban on Pakistani actors in Indian films.
Trailer geo-blocked on YouTube
FWICE President BN Tiwari said they're officially directing the industry to block the film's release and expect everyone's support.
He also mentioned that projects from these producers won't get clearance in India—similar to what happened with "Abir Gulaal."
Even the "Sardaar Ji 3" trailer has been geo-blocked on YouTube for viewers in India, with an official statement expected soon.
