Film fraternity opposes Censor Board's block on 'Janaki vs State of Kerala'

The Malayalam film "Janaki Vs State of Kerala" has been delayed after the censor board (CBFC) asked for a character name change, saying it matches the name of Goddess Sita.
This came as a surprise since the regional panel had already cleared it.
Director Pravin Narayanan feels changing the name now just isn't practical, since it's mentioned more than 90 times in the movie.

TL;DR

People are still buzzing about this courtroom drama

Kerala's film community isn't happy and is planning a protest outside the CBFC office in Thiruvananthapuram.
B Unnikrishnan from the Film Employees Federation called the move "arbitrary," pointing out similar issues have happened before with films named Janaki.
Meanwhile, people are still buzzing about this courtroom drama starring Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran—controversy or not, interest in its release is only growing.
