Forensic report clears Shine Tom Chacko in drug case

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has been cleared of drug use charges after a forensic report found no traces of drugs in his system.
The case began when he suddenly left a Kochi hotel during an anti-drug raid in April 2025, which led to police suspicion and charges.

What actually happened during the raid?

On April 16, DANSAF raided a Kaloor hotel following a tip-off about a drug peddler.
CCTV showed Chacko leaving quickly, and when questioned, he told police that he fled "fearing for his life" as he mistook the plainclothes officers for goons.
Police doubted his story since he didn't ask for help, but with the negative test results, there's now little reason for further action against him.
