HC criticizes MBVV police over V-Unbeatable cheating case
V Unbeatable, the dance crew known for winning the 'Best Talent in the World' award at the 2019 Season 2 of America's Got Talent - The Champions, says their manager Om Prakash Chauhan cheated them out of ₹12 crore from 250 shows. Even after they filed a complaint in July 2024, police didn't register an FIR at first and reportedly used force when the group protested. The Bombay High Court wasn't impressed by how slowly things moved.
Report to be shared with the dancers by July 31
The court criticized senior officers for protecting their team instead of acting quickly. Now, a new investigation must be wrapped up in six weeks and the report shared with the dancers by July 31. The case is with the Economic Offences Wing, and FIRs have been filed against Chauhan and others—including Remo D'Souza's production house—for allegedly misusing the group's earnings.
