Hollywood director and actor Rob Reiner (78) and his wife, actor-photographer Michele Singer Reiner (68), were found dead at their home in Brentwood on Sunday. Initially, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman aged around 78 and 68; later, their identities were confirmed. While an official cause of death has not been released, TMZ reported that the couple had "lacerations consistent with a knife." Now, the family has released a statement.

In a statement to Variety, his family said, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."

Reiner and Singer Reiner met on 'When Harry Met Sally...'
Reiner and Singer Reiner met when he directed When Harry Met Sally... They married in 1989 and had three children: Jake (1991), Nick (1993), and Romy (1997). Reiner also had a daughter, Tracy, from his previous marriage to actor-director Penny Marshall, whom Reiner adopted. The couple divorced in 1981. Sadly, Nick allegedly stabbed his parents. He had opened up about struggles with drug addiction.
