'Heeramandi' Season 2 is officially happening!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali confirmed in June 2025 that Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar will return for a second season on Netflix.
The first season, which dropped in May, quickly became a huge hit in India and Pakistan, picking up 17 Filmfare OTT Award nominations and winning five—including Best Actress for Manisha Koirala.

Why does this matter?

Season 2 will follow the tawaifs as they move from pre-partition Lahore to the film worlds of Mumbai and Kolkata after independence, swapping royal audiences for movie producers.
Bhansali's signature grand sets are set to return too.
If production follows last season's timeline, expect the new episodes around 2027 or later.
