Cancer survivor Irrfan to start shooting 'Hindi Medium-2' next week
It's been almost a year since Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with high-grade Neuroendocrine tumor, a piece of news that had left his fans aghast. While everyone was yearning to know about Irrfan's health, it's reported that the Madaari actor is back in India and is recovering well. In fact, reports also suggest that he would begin shooting for Hindi Medium 2 next week.

Irrfan's cancer diagnosis came as a shock to his fans. While many thought it to be a brain tumor, Irrfan clarified that 'neuro' is not always about the brain. "I got to know, it was rare, and due to fewer study cases, and less information comparatively, the unpredictability of the treatment was more," he mentioned. Soon after diagnosis, Irrfan flew to London for treatment.

Much to his fans' respite, it has now been reported that he returned to India early this month. According to a report published in PeepingMoon, Irfan is currently in Mumbai and is getting treated at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital. The report also suggested that the actor is feeling better now and would soon be visiting his hometown, Jaipur.
'Hindi Medium 2' to hit the floors this month
Meanwhile, there are reports that Irrfan would also be resuming his work soon. In fact, he is already gearing up to shoot for Hindi Medium 2, which will hit the floors next week. "Hindi Medium is going on floors on February 22. Costume Designers have already started looking for Irrfan's outfits. The leading lady is yet to be decided," a source reportedly told Pinkvilla.
Kareena to romance Irrfan in 'Hindi Medium 2'?
Separately, there are reports that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been approached to play the lead in Hindi Medium 2 opposite Irrfan. However, she is yet to give a nod to the movie. Notably, the movie will be a sequel to Irrfan's 2017 release comedy-drama Hindi Medium. Helmed by Saket Chaudhary, the movie also featured Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal and Dishita Sehgal in pivotal roles.
