Dinesh Vijan's production house, Maddock Films, is on a roll as it reportedly becomes the sole banner to have produced two films that have grossed over ₹500cr at the box office. Vijan's latest release, Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, is all set to cross the ₹500cr mark in the next few days. This comes after the success of Stree 2, another Maddock Films production that had entered this exclusive club.

Film distributor and exhibitor Akshaye Rathi stressed that Maddock Films's success is a testament to Vijan's conviction as a producer. He told Bollywood Hungama, "It takes serious conviction for a producer to back such films with actors who are not true-blue mass stars yet and then pepper them with all the commercial elements, reasonable budget, marketing muscle, etc." "Hence, this is Dinesh Vijan's victory and then that of Laxman Utekar followed by Vicky Kaushal," he added.
