'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal': Plot, release date, cast and much more
Starring Nayanthara, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Vijay Sethupathi (VJS), Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is one of the most awaited movies of 2022. Directed by Nayanthara's partner Vignesh Shivan and produced by the couple's Rowdy Pictures, and Seven Screen Studios, the triangular romantic comedy-drama is set to hit the cinema halls on April 28. Before it releases, here's all you need to know of the movie.
- This film marks the second collaboration between Shivan, Nayanthara and VJS.
- Their first collaboration Naanum Rowdy Dhaan turned out to be a blockbuster. It was also Shivan's directorial debut.
- But, Ruth Prabhu is joining hands with the filmmaker for the first time and since all are leading forces of the South Indian film industry, everyone has their eyes set on Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
The team wrapped up its shooting schedule on Thursday. Ruth Prabhu informed about it on Instagram and said, "And it's a wrap #kaathuvaakularendukaadhal Can't wait for you to laugh till your tummies hurt and then just a little bit more! April 28 it is." She also shared a couple of pictures where we can see the three actors cutting a cake and celebrating.
This is Shivan's fourth directorial and will have Nayanthara as Kanmani Ganguly, Ruth Prabhu as Khatija, and VJS as RAMBO. Its teaser, dropped last month, received positive response. Going by the teaser, it seems the Tamil film would revolve around RAMBO, who's romantically involved with both the women at the same time. Shivan has written the film and Anirudh Ravichander is its music composer.
Shivan, who last helmed a segment in the Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal, said, "Working with outstanding talents...Extraordinary actors are always a dream for any director! Can't ask for a better combination of actors to convert my script to screen!" Apart from Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Nayanthara has Paattu and Gold in her pipeline, while Ruth Prabhu has Shaakuntalam. And, VJS will be seen in Vikram.
