Kapil-Riddhima's 'Dadi Ki Shaadi' to wrap up in January
What's the story
The much-anticipated film Dadi Ki Shaadi, starring Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma, is nearing completion. Director Ashish R Mohan recently revealed that the final touches are being added to the family entertainer. "I wanted to complete the film after I locked my release date," he told Mid-Day. The movie marks Riddhima Kapoor Sahni's Bollywood debut and was announced in April.

'Dadi Ki Shaadi' final shoot scheduled for January
Mohan revealed that the film's final scenes, including an end-credit song, will be shot in January. "We had shot a song choreographed by Ganesh master in Shimla earlier this year, but a one-day shoot remained as there was talk of a [conflict between] India and Pakistan," he recalled. The director had to return to Mumbai with the cast and crew for safety reasons during Operation Sindoor on May 7.

'Dadi Ki Shaadi' finale to feature 700 children
The director also shared that the final song will feature "700 children from the schools in Shimla and outside, and has the entire cast in it." He plans to invite everyone for this shoot, which will take place at Golden Tobacco Factory or Film City. The film is currently in post-production and is a comedy about a family caught up in their matriarch's wedding.
Release date
'Dadi Ki Shaadi' was initially scheduled for December release
The film, which also stars South superstar Sarath Kumar, Nikhat Hegde, Tejaswini Kolhapure, and Sadia Khateeb, was originally slated for a December release. However, the makers will now announce the new release date on December 20. Mohan hopes to premiere Dadi Ki Shaadi on Mother's Day (May 10) or sometime in April 2026.
